Steps to Salvation

We believe that the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God, as stated in 2 Timothy 3:16, and is the basis for all preaching. All religious and theological issues are thus settled by referring solely to the scriptures. We believe that God sent His only Son to Earth to die for our sins so that we may obtain salvation. This marvelous gift is available to all who:

Hear His Word: “When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, ‘Brothers, what shall we do?'” (Acts 2:37)

Believe: “He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned'” (Mark 16:15-16)

Repent: “In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent” (Acts 17:30)

Confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God: “If you you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved” (Romans 10:9-10)

Are baptised (buried/immersed) in water for the forgiveness of sins: “Peter replied, ‘Repent and be baptised, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit'” (Acts 2:38)

Remain faithful until death: “Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown” (Revelation 2:10)
